February 2021 PD Event (Virtual): How to Handle Nonprofit Communications During COVID-19

Nonprofits had to pivot during the pandemic just like many other organizations and businesses. Carrie Pitts-Densmore will talk about some of the challenges and successes of Urban Ministries of Wake County’s public relations messaging during an ever-changing landscape.

Carrie Pitts-Densmore is the media communications specialist for Urban Ministries of Wake County. She has been in media and communications for more than 20 years.

As a television news producer, Carrie won a national award for a documentary on domestic violence and covered major historical events during her career. She is also a licensed N.C. Realtor and has won marketing and sales awards for her work in real estate. Carrie is passionate about alleviating hunger and Raleigh’s current housing crisis. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, 5-year-old son and two dogs.

NCPRSA Refund Policy

For NCPRSA events (professional development, networking, skills, etc.), no refunds will be issued if the event is postponed by the Chapter due to an act of nature (snow, hurricane, etc.). If the Chapter cancels the event, refunds in full will be made as soon as feasible. If for some reason you are unable to attend an event for which you registered and paid, no refund will be issued, so we encourage you to transfer your registration to another professional.
