PRSA Ethics Month: The Intersection of Trust and Technology

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.
Advancements in technology are rampant, and in many cases improve our day-to-day lives as professionals, consumers and individuals. But where do we draw the line when it comes to the ethical implications of emerging tech?

Join us on Wednesday, September 18 for a conversation about new technologies — like deep-fake, AI, machine learning, and real-time fact-checking — and its potential impact on us as communications professionals.
Dr. Ken Rogerson, Professor at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy and the Policy Strategist at Ethical Tech, a nonpartisan initiative at Duke focusing on research, education, and policy development, will bring to the table his extensive scholarship in the areas of emerging technologies and communication.
Dr. Yang Cheng, Assistant Professor in NC State’s Department of Communication, teaches research methods, the introduction of public relations, crisis communication, and global communication in the U.S. and Hong Kong.
