The Director works closely with elected officials, town management, department leadership, and the community.

About the position: The Town of Holly Springs seeks an innovative and well-versed communications professional to lead the development and implementation of the Town’s strategic communication and marketing plans and community engagement efforts. The position performs professional work planning and managing an overall strategic communications program including news media relations, public information, social media, community relations and engagement, employee communications, and marketing for the Town of Holly Springs; planning and directing programs designed to facilitate and maintain a positive public image; implementing and monitoring marketing and communication activities including supervision of a communications department; implementing community engagement strategies and programs; writing publicity material and releasing it through various communications media; serving as liaison between elected officials/staff and the media; and developing simplified approaches to assist residents in understanding public issues and Town decision making. Work involves significant public contact and coordinating activities with other departments and private organizations.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or public relations and considerable experience in mass communications, public relations, marketing or media communication; Master's Degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Position reports to the Town Manager. Hiring range $82,739 – 90,000 based on relevant experience. Excellent benefits package.
