Communications and Marketing Director
Town of Holly Springs

This newly created position will assist Town leadership with the development and implementation of strategic communication plans and systems to engage community members in local government and as partners in collaborating to impact community issues. Position will perform professional work planning and managing an overall strategic communications program including news media relations, public information, community relations and engagement, employee communications, and marketing for the Town of Holly Springs; planning and directing programs designed to facilitate and maintain a positive public image; implementing and monitoring marketing and communication activities including supervision of staff; implementing community engagement strategies and programs; writing publicity material and releasing it through various communications media; serving as liaison between staff and the media; and developing mechanisms to assist residents in understanding public issues and Town decision making. Work involves significant public contact and coordinating activities with other departments and private organizations. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or public relations and considerable experience in mass communications, public relations, marketing or media communication; Master's Degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hiring range $81,436 - 86,500 based on relevant experience. Excellent benefits package. Position open until filled with first review of applications on November 7, 2018. Apply at EOE.
