Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an Internal Communications Intern for 32 - 40 hours per week. This is a paid internship in life sciences and health care, and we will take your core communications skills and experience and build some amazing results, together! The internal communications intern will play a key role in helping ensure our global team members are informed and motivated and will apply best-in-class public relations and marketing techniques to an internal and diverse audience.  On-site position in Morrisville, NC
 Positions begin in June and last 3+ months
 32 - 40 hours per week
 Hourly compensation

Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

• Ongoing collaboration with the Director of Internal Communications related to campaign goal setting, communication strategy and planning; this is a position where you will serve as an integral team member and partner, have independence and responsibility beyond your “typical” internship, and stretch your skills!
• The internal communications intern will assist with the execution of various aspects of internal/employee engagement campaigns to maximize their impact, including:
o Developing and maintaining an internal communications calendar.
o Overseeing project management for various employee engagement initiatives, including managing timelines and vendors, developing written materials, brainstorming ideas, tracking metrics, and performing other tasks as assigned.
o Supporting the ongoing development (researching, drafting and editing) of various internal communications messages and announcements as assigned.
 Play a key role, specifically, in the development of creative and concise newsletter and intranet articles, infographics, Q&As, and other content to educate and engage employees.
o Conducting competitive research to help us refine our careers message to bolster recruitment efforts.
 Supporting content on career platforms, such as our website, Glassdoor and LinkedIn.
 Generating new ideas and partnering with the HR and recruiting teams to support their marketing efforts.
o Partnering with senior executives and key departments in the company, including marketing and HR, to strategize and deliver communication that support key corporate initiatives.
o Overseeing the regular submission of employee-related content on our social channels, in partnership with our digital marketing team.
• Performing other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.


• Only college students (incoming seniors and graduate) will be considered
• Educational concentration in communications, public relations or journalism preferred
• Strong writing and editing skills are required (samples will be requested)
• Demonstrable knowledge of communications theory and best practices
• Familiarity with social media
• A strong communicator, who is unafraid to share ideas and take a creative approach to problem solving
• Exceptional organizational skills, professional demeanor and energetic personality
• Video editing, photography or design skills not required but are a definite plus
• Ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously with minimal direction
• Deadline-driven with a keen sense of priority and follow-through; Demonstrate ownership on all assigned projects and follow through on all phases of production
• Candidates must be able to collaborate on projects, take direction and manage workload in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment.
