    The Job:
    We are looking for a strong communications professional who has experience in leading internal and external communications programs. We want an innovator who can use his or her strategic communication skills, love of words and passion for helping others to develop messages that are moving and motivating -- reinforcing to employees and external audiences that what we do as a company truly makes a difference in the world.

    In this role, you will develop and execute communication programs to help Pharma Services Group (PSG) employees understand the business’ strategy, markets and customers, as well as connect employees to the company Mission. Reporting to the Director, Business Communications, you will work in partnership with the PSG communications team to develop strategic communication initiatives, including change management, executive communications and employee engagement for the Drug Substance Division (DSD) and its 4 Business Units. In addition, you will support M&A, integration, external events and activities in partnership with the PR and government relations team within DSD as needed.

    You will partner with global communication team members to support corporate initiatives that involve PSG stakeholders, in addition to ensuring that PSG employees understand the broader objectives of the company. You will be seen as a strategic communications adviser to the DSD leadership team and other business stakeholders and will be required to operate both at the strategic and tactical level. You will also work closely with the Corporate Communications team members for PR, Employee Communications and Government Relations activities.

    Responsibilities:
    • Working with the Director of Business Communications, PSG, in conjunction with DSD senior leadership, develop and execute internal communications strategies aligned to business goals to help drive employee engagement
    • Provide communications support for DSD executive leaders
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing an international team.
    • Lead change management initiatives for DSD businesses
    • Develop inspirational stories to engage DSD employees in the future of the business, the promise of DSD’s services and the impact on our customers and their patients
    • Project-manage various internal & external communication initiatives as needed including M&A, integration, and PR events.
    • Write, edit and disseminate content for various DSD, Group and company initiatives that impact DSD employees
    • Create content for town hall presentations, manager communication decks, intranet, videos and other communication channels
    • Write leadership blogs, video scripts or other communication content as needed
    • Write, review and edit organizational announcements and additional communications as needed, ensuring appropriate corporate processes are followed
    • Manage the DSD presence on the company intranet
    • Manage any required communication vendor relationships

    Support Public Relations/External Communications
    • Help to manage and coordinate PR planning on major expansions and business announcements
    • Assist Government Relations and Crisis Communications teams as needed

    Requirements:
    • Minimum 7-10 years of corporate experience in planning and executing both external and internal communications programs and initiatives, including employee engagement
    • Science industry and public company experience a plus
    • Expert writer, editor and communicator
    • People management experience, international team management preferred
    • Excellent PowerPoint and MS Office skills; MS SharePoint content creation /experience a definite plus
    • Undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, journalism, or similar discipline
    • Ability to work with senior business leaders from across the organization
    • Experience in creating and implementing change management strategies
    • Experience in social media and intranet content development platforms
    • Experience in creating and implementing change management strategies
    • Passion and curiosity for science and technology with proven ability to craft messages focused on high-level customer benefit
    • Team player with the ability to influence business partners and facilitate alignment between business and corporate objectives; executive presence
    • Sound problem-solving skills; decisive
