Rules and Eligibility

Who Can Enter

If you’re doing great communications work in North Carolina, we want to see it.

The InSpire Awards are open to communications professionals based in the Raleigh–Durham–Fayetteville Designated Market Area, extending east to the North Carolina coast, including the Greenville–New Bern–Washington and Wilmington markets.

Eligible entrants include corporate communications and marketing teams, public relations agencies, public affairs firms, investor relations agencies, publicists, nonprofit organizations, government PR teams, solo practitioners, and public relations educators and academic professionals.

Students are also encouraged to enter (see Student Entries below).

Work created for these regions counts, too. For example, if your organization is based in Charlotte but developed a campaign for a company in Raleigh or Manteo during 2025, that work is eligible for submission.

Entry Eligibility
Your best work from 2025 belongs here.

Entries must reflect work conducted between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, with at least a portion of the work occurring during this timeframe.

Projects that are complete—or close to it—tend to stand out, especially when you can clearly demonstrate results tied to your objectives.

Student Entries
Future pros, this is your moment.

All currently enrolled college and university students are encouraged to participate.

Entries must be submitted through the online system to be considered.

Bateman Case Study Competition entries are accepted, and we welcome other public relations–related projects as well. Please clearly indicate if your entry is a Bateman submission.

Entries may be submitted by individual students, teams, or faculty advisors.
