The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) empowers its members to succeed at every stage of their careers through a wide breadth of professional development, networking and leadership opportunities. The North Carolina Chapter, Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) is comprised of more than 200 public relations professionals in North Carolina's Triad, Triangle and Sandhills regions as well as eastern North Carolina. NCPRSA members are part of a community of more than 21,000 public relations and communications professionals across the United States, from recent college graduates to the leaders of the world’s largest multinational firms. PRSA members represent nearly every practice area and professional and academic setting within the public relations field. In addition, there are more than 10,000 students who are members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at colleges and universities here and abroad.

Networking: NCPRSA membership provides you with opportunities to develop relationships with other communication professionals, both here in North Carolina and across the nation. Locally, you can make connections by attending chapter events or participating in chapter activities. Nationally, PRSA's 16 Professional Interest Sections put you in touch with other PRSA members who share your particular knowledge and expertise, and offer you niche conferences and learning opportunities.

The PRSA Code of Ethics is widely regarded as the cornerstone of the ethical practice of public relations.
